October 9 (SeeNews) - The audited consolidated net loss of Croatia's Agrokor widened to 11.047 billion kuna ($1.7 billion/1.5 billion euro) in 2016, from 3.6 billion kuna in the prior year, the receiver of the ailing concern, Ante Ramljak, said on Monday.
Last year, Agrokor reported a net profit of 1.2 billion kuna for 2015 but auditors PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP had to cut that figure by 4.8 billion kuna, Ramljak said at a news conference aired live by broadcaster HRT, during which he presented Agrokor's audited consolidated financial statements for 2015 and 2016.
According to the audit conducted by PwC, Agrokor's consolidated operating income was 46.17 billion kuna last year, compared to 47.75 billion kuna in 2015, while operating costs swelled to 53.84 billion kuna, from 48.47 billion kuna.
The consolidated assets of Croatia's largest privately-held company totalled 41.75 billion kuna in 2016, compared to total liabilities of 56.29 billion kuna.
