Croatian wine makers' net profit up 55% in 2022 - Fina

November 15 (SeeNews) - Croatia's wine producers recorded a consolidated net profit of 11.9 million kuna ($1.7 million/1.6 million euro) last year, higher compared to a consolidated net profit of 7.7 million kuna reported for 2021, publicly-owned financial agency Fina said.

A total of 275 wine makers reported a combined revenue of 908.9 million kuna for 2022, up 16.3% on 2021, Fina said in a statement earlier this week.

Their overall costs went up 15.7% to 889.8 million kuna in 2022.

Agrolaguna generated the highest revenue among wine makers in Croatia last year, of 133.5 million kuna, followed by Vinoplod-Vinarija with 45.2 million kuna, and Djakovacka Vina with 40.8 million kuna.

The country's 126 winegrowers reaped a consolidated net profit of 43.6 million kuna last year, up from a profit of 30.8 million kuna in 2021. Their consolidated revenue rose 17.4% on the year to 423.7 million kuna, while overall costs went up 14.8% to 374.8 million kuna.

Ilocki Podrumi was Croatia's biggest winegrower with a revenue of 77.3 million kuna last year, followed by Erdutski Vinogradi with 46.7 million kuna and Saints Hills with 28.5 million kuna.

Croatia's wine producers had 1,376 employees last year, while winegrowers had 791 employees.
