October 22 (SeeNews) - The Croatian stock market extended its losses on Monday in increased turnover, bourse data indicated.

The 25-share benchmark CROBEX index fell 0.52% to 1,768.23 points after losing 0.17% on Friday.

The narrower blue-chip index, the CROBEX10, which tracks the 10 leading companies in terms of free-float, market capitalisation and liquidity on the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE), lost 0.83% to 981.44 points.

The CROX index, which tracks the 12 most traded stocks on the ZSE and is calculated by the Vienna bourse, closed 1.03% lower in euro terms at 957.74.

Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT-R-A] posted the highest turnover among the blue chips of 1.6 million kuna ($276,300/211,700 euro). The stock shed 0.69% to 213.52 kuna.

Retailer Konzum [ZSE:KNZM-R-A] paced the blue-chip decliners, falling 4.16% to 145.2 kuna.

Shipping company Atlantska Plovidba [ZSE:ATPL-R-A] led the CROBEX gainers, rising 2.69% to 253.64 kuna.

The bourse's total equity turnover in floor trading rose to 9.9 million kuna from 6.6 million kuna on Friday.

The fixed-income CROBIS index closed 0.28% lower at 102.4335 points.

The CROBIS Total Return bond index, which has the same components as the CROBIS and also includes accrued interest or interest payments, fell 0.26% to 119.3732 points.
