October 26 (SeeNews) - The indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) fell sharply on Monday in slightly higher turnover, bourse data showed.
The 24-share benchmark CROBEX index tumbled 3.05% at 2,164.73 points after closing flat on Friday.
The narrower blue-chip index, CROBEX10, which tracks the 10 leading companies in terms of free-float market capitalisation and liquidity, closed down 2.78% at 1,139.90 on Monday.
The CROX index, which tracks the 12 most traded stocks on the ZSE and is calculated by the Vienna bourse, fell 2.99% in euro terms to 1,333.32 points.
Shares of HT-Hrvatske Telekomunikacije, majority-owned by Deutsche Telekom, fell 0.51% to 271.31 kuna ($56.2/37.6 euro) in the day's highest turnover of some 6.4 million kuna.
ZSE's total turnover in floor trading rose slightly to 35.6 million kuna from 35.2 million kuna last Friday.
The fixed-income CROBIS index closed down 0.09% at 90.30 points.
