Croatian stock indices gain ground

December 5 (SeeNews) - Croatian share indices closed higher in decreased turnover on Wednesday, bourse data indicated.

Croatian stock indices gain ground

The 25-share benchmark CROBEX index of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) added 0.33% to 1,766.18 points after falling 0.74% on Tuesday.

The narrower blue-chip index, the CROBEX10, which tracks the 10 leading companies in terms of free-float, market capitalisation and liquidity on the ZSE, rose 0.85% to 998.26 points.

The CROX index, which tracks the 12 most traded stocks on the ZSE and is calculated by the Vienna bourse, advanced by 1.04% in euro terms to 916.9 points.

Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT-R-A] posted the highest turnover of some 3.3 million kuna ($574,400/438,900 euro) among the CROBEX components. The stock added 1.34% to 203.69 kuna.

Adris Grupa [ZSE:ADRS-R-A] led the blue-chip gainers, rising 5.4% to 289.89 kuna.

Fertiliser maker Petrokemija [ZSE:PTKM-R-A] led the blue-chip decliners, falling 3.53% to 202 kuna.

The bourse's total turnover in floor trading edged down to 14.4 million kuna from 14.7 million kuna on Tuesday.

The fixed-income CROBIS index added 0.10% to 102.9489 points.

The CROBIS Total Return bond index, which has the same components as the CROBIS and also includes accrued interest or interest payments, rose 0.14% to 120.7683 points.
