The 25-share benchmark CROBEX index of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) lost 0.15% to 1,758.06 points after rising 0.31% on Thursday.
The narrower blue-chip index, the CROBEX10, which tracks the 10 leading companies in terms of free-float, market capitalisation and liquidity on the ZSE, shed 0.14% to 993.48 points.
The CROX index, which tracks the 12 most traded stocks on the ZSE and is calculated by the Vienna bourse, fell 0.15% in euro terms to 912.42 points.
Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT-R-A] posted the highest turnover of some 970,000 kuna ($167,000/129,000 euro) among the CROBEX components. The stock lost 0.23% to 203.45 kuna.
Retailer Konzum [ZSE:KNZM-R-A] led the blue-chip decliners, falling 3.34% to 140.04 kuna.
Power transmission equipment maker Dalekovod [ZSE:DLKV-R-A] paced the blue-chip gainers, rising 4.53% to 66 kuna.
The bourse's total turnover in floor trading fell to 5.8 million kuna from 11.4 million kuna on Thursday.
The fixed-income CROBIS index added 0.17% to 103.0089 points.
The CROBIS Total Return bond index, which has the same components as the CROBIS and also includes accrued interest or interest payments, rose 0.18% to 120.8748 points.
