The 25-share benchmark CROBEX index closed 0.05% lower at 1,715.59 points after rising 0.70% on Friday.
The narrower blue-chip index, the CROBEX10, which tracks the 10 leading companies in terms of free-float, market capitalisation and liquidity on the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE), rose 0.21% to 939.83 points.
The CROX index, which tracks the 12 most traded stocks on the ZSE and is calculated by the Vienna bourse, closed 0.03% lower in euro terms at 912.59.
Civil engineering company Ingra [ZSE:INGR-R-A] posted the highest turnover among the blue chips of 1.8 million kuna ($318,600/243,200 euro) and led the blue-chip decliners. The stock closed 4.96% lower at 4.98 kuna.
Food company Podravka [ZSE:PODR-R-A] led the CROBEX gainers, rising 2.91% to 536.69 kuna.
The bourse's total stock turnover in floor trading fell to 6.1 million kuna from 11.1 million kuna on Friday.
The fixed-income CROBIS index added 0.14% to 101.0418 points.
The CROBIS Total Return bond index, which has the same components as the CROBIS and also includes accrued interest or interest payments, rose 0.16% to 117.1722 points.
