The 25-share benchmark CROBEX index added 0.37% to 1,776.70 points after falling 0.16% on Thursday.
The narrower blue-chip index, the CROBEX10, which tracks the 10 leading companies in terms of free-float, market capitalisation and liquidity on the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE), added 0.69% to 999.79 points.
The CROX index, which tracks the 12 most traded stocks on the ZSE and is calculated by the Vienna bourse, closed 0.35% lower in euro terms at 954.85.
Electrical equipment producer Koncar Elektroindustrija [ZSE:KOEI-R-A] posted the highest turnover among the CROBEX components, of 17.2 million kuna ($2.9 million/2.3 million euro). The stock added 3.33% to 620 kuna.
Civil engineering company Ingra [ZSE:INGR-R-A] paced the blue-chip decliners, falling 3.75% to 3.85 kuna.
Retailer Konzum [ZSE:KNZM-R-A] led the CROBEX gainers, rising 4.43% to 149.88 kuna.
The bourse's total equity turnover in floor trading rose to 28.8 million kuna from 9.3 million kuna on Thursday.
The fixed-income CROBIS index closed up 0.08% at 102.3788 points.
The CROBIS Total Return bond index, which has the same components as the CROBIS and also includes accrued interest or interest payments, edged up 0.10% to 119.4132 points.
