The 25-share benchmark CROBEX index of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) lost 0.24% to 1,763.41 points after rising 0.48% on Friday.
The narrower blue-chip index, the CROBEX10, which tracks the 10 leading companies in terms of free-float, market capitalisation and liquidity on the ZSE, fell 0.22% to 997.55 points.
The CROX index, which tracks the 12 most traded stocks on the ZSE and is calculated by the Vienna bourse, edged up 0.09% higher in euro terms at 905.69.
Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT-R-A] posted the highest turnover of some 1.3 million kuna ($223,000/172,000 euro) among the CROBEX components. The stock lost 0.12% to 203.75 kuna.
Food producer Belje [ZSE:BLJE-R-A] led the CROBEX gainers, rising 3.78% to 70 kuna.
Sugar maker Viro [ZSE:VIRO-R-A] paced the CROBEX decliners, falling 2.44% to 520 euro.
The bourse's total turnover in floor trading slumped to 9.5 million kuna from 31.8 million kuna on Friday.
The fixed-income CROBIS index closed 0.02% lower at 102.8430 points.
The CROBIS Total Return bond index, which has the same components as the CROBIS and also includes accrued interest or interest payments, lost 0.01% to 120.4511 points.
