The 25-share benchmark CROBEX index ended up 0.20% at 1,754.44 points after rising 1.35% on Tuesday.
The narrower blue-chip index, the CROBEX10, which tracks the 10 leading companies in terms of free-float, market capitalisation and liquidity on the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE), added 0.55% to a close of 983.11 points.
The CROX index, which tracks the 12 most traded stocks on the ZSE and is calculated by the Vienna bourse, closed 0.8% higher in euro terms at 956.46.
Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT-R-A] posted the highest turnover among the blue chips of 2.3 million kuna ($398,900/308,500 euro). The stock closed 0.47% higher at 208.17 kuna.
Telecommunications equipment maker Ericsson Nikola Tesla [ZSE:ERNT-R-A] paced the blue-chip gainers, rising 2.54% to 1,209.99 kuna.
Atlantic Grupa [ZSE:ATGR-R-A] led the blue-chip decliners, falling 1.84% to 481 kuna.
The bourse's total equity turnover in floor trading fell to 14.3 million kuna from 15.1 million kuna on Tuesday.
The fixed-income CROBIS index rose 0.14% to 101.6512 points.
The CROBIS Total Return bond index, which has the same components as the CROBIS and also includes accrued interest or interest payments, added 0.20% to 118.2045 points.
