Croatian stock indices close higher

September 11 (SeeNews) - Croatian share indices rose in lower turnover on Tuesday, bourse data indicated.

Croatian stock indices close higher

The 25-share benchmark CROBEX index closed 0.51% higher at 1,693.15 points after ending flat on Monday.

The narrower blue-chip index, the CROBEX10, which tracks the 10 leading companies in terms of free-float, market capitalisation and liquidity on the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE), rose 0.54% to 923.20 points.

The CROX index, which tracks the 12 most traded stocks on the ZSE and is calculated by the Vienna bourse, closed 0.03% higher in euro terms at 900.03.

Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT-R-A] posted the highest turnover among the blue chips of 781,600 kuna ($134,900/105,400 euro). The stock closed 0.23% lower at 198.05 kuna.

Shipping company Uljanik Plovidba [ZSE:ULPL-R-A] led the blue-chip decliners, falling 5.94% to 232.8 kuna.

Fertiliser producer Petrokemija [ZSE:PTKM-R-A] paced the CROBEX gainers, rising 4.24% to 229.95 kuna.

The bourse's total stock turnover in floor trading fell to 6.1 million kuna from 8.7 million kuna on Monday.

The fixed-income CROBIS index added 0.62% to 99.1794 points.

The CROBIS Total Return bond index, which has the same components as the CROBIS and also includes accrued interest or interest payments, rose 0.63% to 114.9240 points.
