Croatian-Slovenian tie-up to build 155.6 mln kuna (21 mln euro) waste management centre

November 23 (SeeNews) - The waste management company of the Split-Dalmatia county said on Wednesday it has picked a 155.6 mln kuna ($21 million/21 million euro) offer by a consortium of Croatian construction company Saradjen and Slovenian construction companies GH Holding and VGP Drava Ptuj to design and build the first phase of the county's future waste management centre.

A contract for these works is to be signed with the consortium by the end of this year and the project should be completed within 14 months, the waste management company Regionalni Centar Cistog Okolisa said in a press release.

The overall estimated value of the project, to be built in the Lecevica municipality, is 611.4 million kuna, with total acceptable costs of 454.1 million kuna. The project will be co-financed with European Union grants with 71% of the overall acceptable costs, or 322.5 million kuna.
