Croatian Share Indices, Turnover Notch Up Modest Gains

September 17 (SeeNews) - The share indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) rose marginally on Thursday in slightly higher turnover, bourse data showed.

Croatian Share Indices, Turnover Notch Up Modest Gains

The 24-share benchmark CROBEX index rose 0.35% to 2,236.65 points after adding 1.28% on Wednesday.

No value for the CROEMI 20-share index, calculated by Raiffeisenbank Austria, was available by 1500 GMT on Thursday.

The CROX index, which tracks the 12 most traded stocks on the ZSE and is calculated by the Vienna bourse, added 0.98% in euro terms to 1,350.14 points.

The narrower blue-chip index, CROBEX10, which tracks the 10 leading companies in terms of free-float market capitalisation and liquidity, was up 0.88% to 1,172.52 points on Thursday.

The shares of blue-chip telco T-HT, majority-owned by Deutsche Telekom, rose 0.22% to 258.70 kuna ($52/35 euro) in the day's highest turnover of some 20.4 million kuna.

The shares of shipping company Atlantska Plovidba closed down 0.26% at 1,157.02 kuna, ranking second in terms of turnover with 4.7 million kuna.

Total turnover in floor trading rose to 72.2 million kuna from 69.5 million kuna on Wednesday.

The fixed-income CROBIS edged up by 0.16% at 86.84 points.
