Croatian share indices end higher, HPB leads gainers

February 21 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange ended Wednesday's trading session in green territory, mostly thanks to gains in Hrvatska Postanska Banka (HPB) [ZSE:HPB], bourse data showed.

HPB's shares rose 7.41% to 232 euro on Wednesday.

At the other end, shipping company Atlantska Plovidba [ZSE:ATPL] was the biggest daily loser, as its shares decreased 3.00% to end at 48.50 euro.

The 20-share benchmark CROBEX went up 0.64% to close at 2,730.05 points, recording a four-day winning streak.

The narrower equity index CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten issuers in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, rose 0.58% to 1,630.64 points.

The regular turnover came in at 2.1 million euro ($2.3 million) on Wednesday, up from 1.1 million euro on Tuesday.

ICT equipment producer Ericsson Nikola Tesla [ZSE:ERNT] generated the biggest daily turnover of 470,817 euro. Its shares closed 0.95% lower at 209 euro.
