The 25-share benchmark CROBEX index of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) rose 0.38% to 1,745.44 points after adding 0.21% on Tuesday.
The narrower of the bourse's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, was up 0.64% to a close of 1,007.14.
The CROX index, which tracks the eight most traded stocks on the ZSE and is calculated by the Vienna bourse, gained 0.80% in euro terms to 900.15.
ZSE's total turnover fell to 10 million kuna ($1.6 million/1.3 million euro) from 11.38 million kuna on Tuesday.
The preferred shares of diversified conglomerate Adris Grupa [ZSE:ADRS-P-A] generated the session's biggest turnover of 6.3 million kuna, closing up 4.6% at 340 kuna. The company's ordinary shares closed up 0.54% to 370 kuna.
Agricultural conglomerate Vupik [ZSE:VPIK-R-A] led the CROBEX gainers, rising 6.1% to 83.99 kuna.
Shipping company Jadroplov [ZSE:JDPL-R-A] paced the CROBEX decliners, sinking 8.25% to 100.01 kuna.
The fixed-income CROBIS index closed down 0.59% at 104.9501 points.
The Zagreb bourse will be closed on Thursday, New Year's Day.
