Croatian Retailer, Wholesaler Konzum 9-mo Net Profit Doubles Y/Y to 222.7 Mln Kuna (31.1 Mln Euro) - Table

October 31 (SeeNews) - Croatia's largest retailer and wholesaler, Konzum, reported on Friday a rise in its unaudited, non-consolidated nine-month net profit to 222.7 million kuna ($40.1 million/31.1 million euro) from 110.7 million kuna a year earlier on the back of rising revenue.

Retail revenue grew by 17.1% and wholesale revenue was 12.4% higher, the company said in a statement to the Zagreb Stock Exchange.

The company's shares were not traded on Friday by 0917 GMT. They closed at 152 kuna on Thursday, up from Wednesday’s close of 150 kuna. Konzum shares are part of the bourse's 28-share benchmark Crobex index.

Konzum is part of the food concern Agrokor that consists of a number of food producers like cooking oil producer Zvijezda and meat company Belje and is among the main beneficiaries of farm subsidies.
