The company's survival requires diversifying away from the primary postal segment and finding new business opportunities, transport minister Sinisa Hajdas Doncic said in a statement issued on Tuesday after a public presentation of the restructuring program.

He added Hrvatska Posta has a market share of 66% which further compounds the task of its restructuring.

The head of the postal carrier's management, Alen Premuzak, said the market analysis shows strongly negative trends affecting the segments for mail delivery services and money transfers while the package delivery services are posting growth.
