Luka Rijeka, which is the largest sea port operator in Croatia measured by the volume of handled cargo, handled 4.64 million tonnes of cargo in the first nine months of 2008. General cargo volume rose 27%, bulk cargo increased 4.0%, while timber cargo remained at the same level as a year earlier, the company said in a statement to the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE).
