ZAGREB (Croatia), November 13 (SeeNews) – Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor said on Friday she will propose to parliament to approve the appointment of Djuro Popijac as the country's new Economy Minister.
Popijac currently serves as director of the Croatian Employers Association.
Health Minister Darko Milinovic and Finance Minister Ivan Suker are nominated for deputy prime ministers, Kosor said in an audio file posted on the government's website.
Then Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister Damir Polancec resigned in October, following calls from the opposition and the media that he step down in the wake of a series of corruption scandals in the European Union candidate country.
