August 22 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) rebounded on Monday on gains in Adris [ZSE:ADRS2] and Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT], bourse data showed.
The 22-share blue-chip index, the CROBEX, added 0.23% to end at 2,013.55 points and almost completely offset its loss from the previous trading session, which halted an eight-day winning streak. The narrower CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, ended 0.25% higher at 1,204.92 points.
Food and pharmaceuticals producer Podravka [ZSE:PODR] was the most traded company on Monday with a turnover of 1.2 million kuna ($159,000/160,000 euro). Its shares ended unchanged at 598 kuna.
Shipping company Atlantska Plovidba [ZSE:ATPL] followed in terms of turnover with 680,200 kuna. Its shares closed 1.83% lower at 429 kuna on the news that its bulk carrier Revelin has been struck by another vessel and suffered a serious damage while leaving the U.S. Port Arthur. Following the accident, a complete checkup and repairs will be needed which will cause a significant loss of the usable time for the ship, it added.
Preferred shares of diversified holding company Adris appreciated 0.98% to finish at 411 kuna in a turnover of 600,700 kuna.
Shares of index heavyweight Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT] went up 0.28% to end at 181 kuna in a turnover of 333,100 kuna.
The bourse's total trading turnover reached 5.0 million kuna from 4.6 million kuna on Friday.
