Croatian equity indices end lower

August 19 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) on Friday ended lower despite an increase of turnover, bourse data showed.

The 22-share blue-chip index, the CROBEX, fell 0.27% to end at 2,009.02 points, halting an eight-day winning streak. The narrower CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, dipped 0.03% to close at 1,201.95 points, following gains in the previous five sessions.

Index heavyweight Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT] was the most trade company on Friday with a turnover of 1.4 million kuna ($187,000/186,000 euro). Its shares gained 0.84% to end at 180.50 kuna in a turnover of 182,500 kuna.

None other share generated a turnover above the one million kuna mark.

Shares of shipping company Atlantska Plovidba [ZSE:ATPL] went down 0.46% to end at 437 kuna in a turnover of 97,000 kuna.

In lower turnovers, shares of car parts maker AD Plastik [ZSE:ATPL] lost 0.46%, food and pharmaceuticals prodicer Podravka [ZSE:PODR] declined 0.33% and hotel owner and operator Plava Laguna [ZSE:PLAG] fell 0.90%.

The bourse's total trading turnover reached 4.6 million kuna from 2.4 million kuna on Thursday.
