Croatian equity indices decline as investors focus on ETFs

April 5 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) slightly declined on Friday amidst higher liquidity as investors focused on ETFs, bourse data showed.

The regular turnover reached 1.2 million euro ($1.3 million) from 1.0 million euro a day earlier.

The 21-share benchmark CROBEX fell 0.22% to close at 2,825.21 points.

The narrower equity index CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten issuers in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, dipped 0.13% to 1,699.77 points.

Just like on Thursday, the most traded stock on Friday was InterCapital SBITOP TR UCITS [ZSE:7SLO], an ETFs tracking Slovenian stocks, with a turnover of 456,000 euro. Its shares added 0.55% to 27.23 euro.

Shares of food producer Cakovecki Mlinovi [ZSE:CKML] followed with a turnover with 150,000 euro. They dropped 0.96% to 10.30 euro. Cakovecki Mlinovi is a constituent of the wider equity index.

Exchange-traded fund InterCapital BET-TR [ZSE:7BET], which is tracking Romanian stocks, ranked third by turnover with 116,000 euro as its units rose 0.36% at 14.09 euro. The ETFs are not part of the main equity indices of the Zagreb bourse.

The biggest daily gainer was civil engineering company Institut IGH [ZSE:IGH]. Its shares closed 8.55% higher at 12.70 euro on the news that it signed with French construction company Bouygues T.P. a deal worth almost 498,000 euro. However, just 54 of its shares changed hands.
