March 8 (SeeNews) - Passenger numbers at Croatia's airports increased to 295,000 in January, up from 269,000 in the same month of 2023, official statistics showed on Friday.
The total number of landings and take-offs at Croatian airports rose 6.8% on the year reaching 4,898 in January, while cargo volumes increased 19.2% to 781 tonnes, the statistical office said in a monthly report.
Zagreb airport served the largest number of passengers in January – 247,000, up by an annual 12.5% - followed by the airport in Split with 29,000 passengers and the airport in Dubrovnik with 15,000 passengers.
Last year, Croatia's airports handled 11.272 million passengers, up 15% compared to 2022, the same office has said earlier.
