Croatian airports passenger traffic up 15% y/y in 2023

February 9 (SeeNews) - Passenger numbers at Croatia's airports increased to 11.272 million last year, up from 9.786 in 2022, official statistics showed on Friday.

The total number of landings and take-offs at Croatian airports rose 4.9% on the year reaching 124,118 in 2023, while cargo volumes fell 5.9% to 9,224 tonnes, the statistical office said in a monthly report.

Zagreb airport served the largest number of passengers last year – almost 3.7 million, up by an annual 19.1% - followed by the airport in Split with 3.3 million passengers and the airport in Dubrovnik with 2.4 million passengers.

Alone in December, the number of passengers rose 11.2% on the year to 339,000. The total number of landings and take-offs at Croatian airports went up 3.5% to 4,904, while cargo volumes rose 1.5% to 873 tonnes.
