Croatian airports passenger traffic soars in Aug

October 12 (SeeNews) - Passenger numbers at Croatia's airports increased to 1.773 million in August, up from 1.250 million in the same month last year, official statistics showed on Wednesday.

The total number of landings and take-offs at Croatian airports rose 13% on the year, reaching 18,437 in August, while cargo volumes increased by 2.5% on the year to 788 tonnes, the statistical office said in a monthly report.

Split airport served the largest number of passengers in August – 623,118 up by an annual 26.8% - followed by the airport in Dubrovnik with 427,986 passengers and Zagreb airport with 346,317 passengers.
