The total number of landings and take-offs at Croatian airports rose 6.2% on the year, reaching 15,177 in September, while cargo volumes fell by 0.7% to 893 tonnes, the statistical office said in a monthly report.
Split airport served the largest number of passengers in September– 507,000, up by an annual 14.8% - followed by the airport in Zagreb with 368,000 passengers and the airport in Dubrovnik with 353,000 passengers.
Passenger numbers at Croatia's airports rose to 9.8 million last year from 4.7 million in 2021, according to official statistics figures published earlier.
