Croatia Sells T-Bills Below Target, Yields Rise

October 21 (SeeNews) - Croatia's Finance Ministry on Tuesday sold 247 million kuna ($45.8 million/34.4 million euro) in three issues of Treasury bills, below its total target offer of 400 million kuna, as all yields were higher.

Yields on the three-month bills rose to 6.00% from 5.00% at the prevuous auction on September 30, the minsitry said in a statement.

The six-month government securities yielded 6.25%, up from 5.10% on September 9.

Yields on the one-year Treasury bills reached 7.00% from 6.00% at the previous auction on October 14.

The government's short-term debt in issued Treasury bills was 9.734 billion kuna after the auction, compared to 10.017 billion kuna kuna a week earlier.

The ministry will hold its next auction on October 28 when it will offer T-bills worth 400 million kuna in par value.
