February 13 (SeeNews) - Croatia’s state-owned motorway management company Hrvatske Autoceste (HAC) said it has received seven bids in a public tender valued at about 600,000 euro ($656,000) for the design of a second bridge linking the mainland to the northern Adriatic island of Krk.
A total of six consortia and one local company, Rijekaprojekt, have submitted bids, according to a protocol by HAC.
The lowest bid, worth 478,750 euro, was submitted by a consortium including local companies Rencon, Lineal, IRGO Consulting, Ponting, and Slovenian Pipenbaher lnzenjerij and Gradis BP Maribor.
Rijekaprojekt offered the highest price at 2.44 million euro.
A consortium led by Slovenian ELEA lC has offered 2.41 million euro.
Another bidder is a consortium led by the construction department of the Zagreb university, offering a price of 963,300 euro.
Local civil engineering company Institut IGH and Bosnian IPSA Institut submitted a joint bid of 530,900 euro.
A local consortium of Geoprojekt and Intergeo proposed a price of 970,800 euro.
A consortium of local companies Mobilita Evolva, Radionica Mostova and China Railway Eryuan Engineering Group submitted the seventh bid, worth 498,100 euro.
The 850-metre bridge will be built close to an existing one, in the Omisalj municipality, to alleaviate growing traffic, especially during the high tourist season, HAC has said earlier.
