December 18 (SeeNews) - Croatia's state asset management office, DUUDI, said it has received a total of 20 letters of intent (LoIs) for the purchase of stakes in hotel operators Hoteli Plat and Imperial and in shipping company Jadroplov [ZSE:JDPL-R-A].

Croatia gets 20 LoIs for Hoteli Plat, Imperial, Jadroplov stakes

The deadline for filing LoIs in the renewed sell-off attempts expired on December 17.

DUUDI said in a statement on Wednesday it has received seven LoIs for Jadroplov, nine LoIs for Hoteli Plat and four LoIs for Imperial.

The corporate equity on sale has attracted interest from both domestic and foreign candidates.

In November, Croatia's state-run enterprise restructuring and sale centre, CERP, issued a new invitation for letters of intent for the sale of a 70.03% stake in Jadroplov.

Also in November, CERP re-issued a public call for expressions of interest for the privatisation of majority stakes in hotel operators Imperial and Hoteli Plat.

The state is selling a 50.08% stake in Imperial, comprising 318,435 shares, and a 92.49% stake in Hoteli Plat, comprising 182,440 shares.

Split-based Jadroplov, founded in 1947, operated a fleet of eight ships with a combined deadweight tonnage of 378,000 at the end of June.

Imperial is based in the town of Rab on the Adriatic island of the same name.

Hoteli Plat operates accommodation capacity in the Dubrovnik coastal area.
