At the end of April, the forex reserves were lower than they had been a year earlier, when they totalled 1.557 billion euro, the central bank said in a data release.
The total reserve assets of Croatia's central bank rose to 2.774 billion euro at the end of April from 2.716 billion euro a month earlier, but declined compared to the end of April 2023, when they totalled 2.961 billion euro.
Croatia had no gold reserves at the end of April.
Its special drawing rights (SDRs) amounted to some 1.220 billion euro in April, up from some 1.214 billion euro in March, and higher than 1.217 billion euro in April 2023.
Croatia's reserve position in the International Monetary Fund (IMF) was 0.5 million euro unchanged on a monthly and annual comparison basis.
