March 1 (SeeNews) - State-controlled flag carrier Croatia Airlines [ZSE:CRAL] said it turned to a net profit of 2.3 million euro ($2.5 million) last year, compared to a net loss of 18.2 million euro in 2022, driven by growing demand for air transport services.
Operating profit last year reached 4.1 million euro, following an operating loss of 13 million euro in 2022, it said in a filing to the Zagreb bourse on Thursday.
The airline carried 1.73 million passengers in 2023, up 19% on the year.
Operating revenue rose 20% on the year to 252,4 million euro, while overall costs increased 11% to 248.3 million euro.
Shares of Croatia Airlines last traded on Wedensday, when they closed flat at 5.0 euro as three of its shares changed hands on the Zagreb Stock Exchange.
