October 2 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's Commission for Protection of Competition said that it has launched proceedings on Wednesday regarding a complaint against a tender for awarding a contract for delivery of 30 electric buses, launched by the public transport company serving the country's capital - Sofia.
The complaint was filed by local company Bulgarian Automotive Industry on September 26, competition regulator data shows.
The regulator did not provide further details.
Last month, municipally-owned public transport company Stolichen Electrotransport extended the deadline for submitting offers for the contract, worth an estimated 38.4 million levs ($21.8 million/19.6 million euro), by 15 days to October 22.
The contract also envisages supply of 10 charging stations.
