Citibank to expand support for Bulgarian businesses - econ min

The bank will emphasise supporting businesses for projects co-financed through EU money, the ministry said in a press release after a meeting between economy minister Bozhidar Lukarski and Hollis Hart, head of Citibank's international franchise management.

“One of the serious problems of Bulgarian enterprises is the lack of adequate support from the banks and the co-financing of projects implemented under EU programmes,” Lukarski was quoted as saying in the press release, adding that this is a major reason why businesses give up applying for banking financing.
