The project involves the construction of the M21 road which should link the city of Novi Sad via Ruma, Sabac and Loznica with the border with Bosnia to the west, the provincial government said in a statement issued after a meeting with CICO officials.

At the meeting, it was pointed out that the M21 road is of top priority for Vojvodina and that is why the province will form a joint team with the central government in Belgrade to better monitor the implementation of the project.

It was proposed to draw up a memorandum of understanding between the two sides which would outline the relevant legal and economic framework as well as possibilities for cooperation with the central government.
