Donev bought the shares through two deals concluded on the floor of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) on December 22, the pharmaceuticals manufacturer said in a bourse filing.
Donev has directly acquired a total of 757,100 shares in Sopharma representing 0.56% interest since the start of December.
In a separate bourse filing on Wednesday, Sopharma said that diversified group Donev Investments Holding acquired 6,000 shares in the drug maker at a weighted average price of 3.13 levs apiece on December 22.
At the end of September, Donev Investments Holding was Sopharma's largest shareholder with a 25.93% stake. Donev Investments Holding is controlled by Ognyan Donev.
As at 15:18 CET on Wednesday, shares in Sopharma traded 1.25% lower at 3.16 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
