The discovery is located approximately 15 kilometres southeast of capital Pristina, the company said in a statement posted on its website on Tuesday.
Avrupa Minerals said is in process of making applications for trenching of this new discovery. According to the company, permits are expected to be granted for work in the and of the first quarter of 2013, when the end of winter conditions allows for surface exploration work on the license area.
The company continued first-pass exploration work during the past few months and outlined a blind massive sulfide drilling target beneath the gossan zone. In addition, it also discovered further gold-bearing rock units in the Pester area.
The Slivovo exploration license was granted to the Avrupa subsidiary in Kosovo in June 2012.
