September 10 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria’s electricity production fell by an annual 1.25% to 30,529 GWh in the January 1 - September 8 period of 2019, according to data from the country's Electricity System Operator (ESO).

Electricity exports decreased 15.32% to 4,196 GWh in the period under review, data from ESO's weekly bulletin showed.

Domestic power consumption added 1.44% to 26,333 GWh.

The volume of renewable energy in the transmission system edged down 0.35% year-on-year to 842 GWh, while the volume of renewable energy in the distribution system rose by 13.0% year-on-year to 1,324 GWh.
