Bulgaria's Vivacom expands fiber-optic network to Plovdiv, Burgas

SOFIA (Bulgaria), October 22 (SeeNews) – Bulgarian fixed-line and mobile operator Vivacom said on Monday it has expanded the reach of its fiber-optic network to the cities of Plovdiv and Burgas.

The coverage in the two cities will reach around 70% of the households there by the end of 2013, the company said in a statement.

The network enables Internet speeds of up to 1.0 Gbps.

Vivacom is the trademark of the Bulgarian Telecommunications Company, Bulgaria’s incumbent telecoms operator. The company offers a full range of telecom services – fixed and mobile telephony, broadband Internet, IPTV and data transfer.
