November 9 (SeeNews) - Italy's UniCredit Group said on Thursday the consolidated profit of its Bulgarian unit, UniCredit Bulbank, fell by an annual by 1.0% to 149 million euro ($172.8 million) in the first nine months of 2017.
The Bulgarian lender’s net interest income increased 3.1% year-on-year to 227 million euro in the January-September period, UniCredit Group said in an interim financial report.
UniCredit Bulbank’s net fee and commission income rose by 9.3% on the year to 87 million euro in the review period.
The operating income of UniCredit Bulbank edged up 0.9% to 353 million euro in the nine months through September.
UniCredit Bulbank’s operating costs increased 1.7% on the year to 102 million euro.
Bulbank was Bulgaria's largest bank by assets as of end-September, according to data of the country's central bank.
