Bulgaria's Transact Europe Holdings seeks clearance to acquire TBI Credit

SOFIA (Bulgaria), December 18 (SeeNews) – Sofia-based Transact Europe Holdings has asked the country's competition regulator for approval to acquire local consumer lender TBI Credit, the regulator said.

Transact Europe Holdings notified the regulator of its acquisition plans on December 17, a notice published on the website of the Commission for Protection of Competition (CPC) showed.

No details were disclosed.

TBI Credit is 100%-owned by TBI Financial Services Bulgaria, a unit of Netherlands-based TBIF Financial Services.

Transact Europe Holdings was set up in November and is privately-owned by two Germans, two U.S., and one British citizens, according to data from Bulgaria's commercial register.
