Bulgaria's tourist overnights revenue jumps 17% y/y in March

Revenue from domestic tourists amounted to 58.8 million levs, while foreign visitors generated revenue of 34.7 million levs, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said in a regular report.

The total number of tourist overnights rose by 4.6% on the year to 1.07 million in the review month. Overnights spent by foreigners came in at 341,800.

In March, the total number of tourists who stayed in accommodation facilities in Bulgaria grew by an annual 9.7% to 497,200. Of those, 131,100 were foreign visitors, up 4.1% on the year, while the number of domestic tourists added 11.9% to 366,100, the NSI said.
