Bulgaria's Texim Bank halves 9-mo cons net profit

SOFIA (Bulgaria), December 4 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's Texim Bank [BUL:5CP] said that its consolidated net profit fell to 74,000 levs ($46,000/38,000 euro) in the first nine months of 2020 from 150,000 levs in the same period of 2019.

Texim Bank's net interest income decreased to 6.7 million levs in the first three quarters of the year from 7.1 million levs in the comparable period of 2019, it said in an interim financial statement, published last week.

Net fee and commission income edged up to 3.3 million levs from 3.2 million levs the year before.

The bank's administrative expenses fell to 9.4 million levs from 9.8 million levs a year earlier, but its amortisation costs grew to 2.8 million levs from 1.7 million levs.

Loans to customers increased to 200.1 million levs at the end of September from 169.9 million levs at the end of 2019, while deposits rose to 381.9 million levs from 320.7 million levs at the end of last year.

The bank's total assets amounted to 447.2 million levs at the end of September, up from 363.5 million levs at the end of 2019.

Texim Bank was Bulgaria's second smallest bank by assets at the end of September, according to central bank data.
