Bulgaria's Stara Planina Hold 9-mo cons net profit falls on lower revenue

November 26 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian diversified group Stara Planina Hold [BUL:5SR] said on Tuesday that its consolidated net profit excluding minority interest fell to 6.2 million levs ($3.5 million/3.2 million euro) in the first nine months of 2019 from 6.8 million levs in the same period of 2018.

Stara Planina Hold's consolidated profit, including interest attributable to other shareholders in the company's subsidiaries and affiliates, decreased to 15.5 million levs in the review period from 18.7 million levs the year before, the company said in an interim financial statement.

The group lowered its operating revenue to 176.6 million levs in the January-September period of the year from 185.4 million levs in the comparable period of last year.

Operating expenses dropped to 159.5 million levs from 164.8 million levs in the prior-year period, as the group trimmed its expenses for materials to 88.5 million levs from 92.9 million levs.

Stara Planina Hold consolidates the results of six majority-owned subsidiaries and four affiliated companies.

The holding company's investment portfolio includes companies from the sectors of machine building, electrical engineering and perfumery and cosmetics.
