February 28 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian express delivery company Speedy [BUL:SPDY] said that its consolidated net profit went up to 32.1 million levs ($18.5 million/16.4 million euro) in 2021 from a profit of 26.8 million levs the year before on the back of increased revenue.
Speedy's revenue grew to 339.4 million levs last year from 282.1 million levs in 2020, the company said in an annual financial statement last week.
The delivery company's expenses rose to 302.3 million levs from 251.8 million levs in 2020, mostly due to higher expenses for hired services and salaries.
Sales revenue in Bulgaria increased by 21% to 170.6 million levs in 2021, while sales on foreign markets added 23% to 161.6 million levs. The number of completed deliveries went up 15% to 60.1 million last year.
On Friday, shares in Speedy closed 0.87% lower at 114 levs on the Sofia bourse.
