Bulgaria's Sopharma Trading 8-mo pre-tax profit rises 18.6%

September 26 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian drug distributor Sopharma Trading [BUL:SO5] said its pre-tax profit rose by 18.6% to 4.52 million levs ($3.0 million/2.31 million euro) in the first eight months of 2012.

Sales revenue increased 4.0% to 299.6 million levs in the January-August period, Sopharma Trading said in a statement filed to the Sofia bourse on Tuesday.

In August alone, Sopharma Trading's sales revenue was up 5.6% on the year to 37.7 million levs, while its pre-tax profit totalled 601,000 levs.

Sopharma Trading is 81.33%-owned by local blue-chip drug maker Sopharma [BUL:3JR].
