The company's consolidated sales revenue increased by 14% year-on-year to some 620.8 million levs in January-April, Sopharma Trading said in a stock exchange filing last week.
In April alone, Sopharma Trading's pre-tax profit amounted to 5.2 million levs, up 69% on the year, while its sales grew by 21% to 155.9 million levs.
On a standalone basis, the company's revenue went up by a yearly 13% to 467 million levs in January-April, whereas its pre-tax profit added 11% to 15.7 million levs.
The company is a unit of Bulgarian pharmaceuticals producer Sopharma [BUL:SFA]. As of 0933 CEST on Monday, shares in Sopharma Trading traded 0.85% higher at 5.90 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
