Bulgaria's Sopharma sales up 32% y/y in Jan

February 19 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian pharmaceuticals producer Sopharma [BUL:SFA] said on Monday that its sales revenue jumped by 32% year-on-year in January, chiefly due to higher exports.

The company's revenue from export sales surged by an annual 44% last month, while domestic sales added 16%, Sopharma said in a bourse filing.

Last month, Sopharma reported a standalone net profit of 47.9 million levs ($26.4 million/24.5 million euro) in 2023, up from 36.6 million levs a year earlier.

As of 1555 CET on Monday, shares in Sopharma traded 0.34% higher at 5.94 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
