Bulgaria's Sopharma repurchases 30,197 own shares

December 17 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian drug maker Sopharma [BUL:3JR] said on Tuesday that it repurchased 30,197 own shares at a weighted average price per share of 3.4567 levs ($1.97/1.77 euro) on December 16.

The shares represent 0.0224% of Sopharma's capital, the pharmaceuticals manufacturer said in a bourse filing.

Following the transaction, Sopharma holds 9,108,837 own shares, or 6.76% of its own capital.

Sopharma's five-year share repurchase programme, launched in February 2018, targets up to 10% of the drug maker's share capital.

As at 11:00 CET on Tuesday, Sopharma shares traded at 3.47 levs, unchanged from their previous closing price on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
