Bulgaria's Sopharma buys back 5,650 own shares

SOFIA (Bulgaria), September 21 (SeeNews) – Bulgarian drug maker Sopharma [BUL:3JR] said on Thursday it has acquired 5,650 of its own shares at an average price of 4.33 levs ($2.6/2.2 euro) as part of its share repurchase programme.

The shares, representing a stake of 0.0042% in the company, were bought back on September 20, Sopharma said in a statement.

The overall value of the deals was 24,441 levs.

Following the transaction, Sopharma holds 5.15 million of its own shares, equal to a 3.82% stake in the company.

On Monday, Sopharma bought back 10,600 of its own shares at an average price of 4.23 levs.

Sopharma bought back 75,695 of its own shares over the course of last week.

Sopharma plans to repurchase 10% of its own shares under the buyback programme approved in June 2010.
