Bulgaria's Sopharma buys back 15,695 own shares

September 19 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian drug maker Sopharma [BUL:3JR] said it has acquired 15,695 of its own shares at an average price of 4.33 levs ($2.6/2.2 euro) as part of its share repurchase programme.

The shares, representing a stake of 0.011% in the company, were bought back on September 15, Sopharma said in a statement on Monday.

The overall value of the deals was 67,954 levs.

Following the transaction, Sopharma holds 5.32 million of its own shares, equal to a 3.95% stake in the company.

Last week Sopharma said it bought back a total of 60,000 of its own shares in the period from September 11 to September 14.

Sopharma plans to repurchase 10% of its own shares under the buyback programme approved in June 2010.
